Zanotta Lia Dining Chairs, set of 8. Designed by Roberto Barbieri these classic copntemporary chairs have a frame of polished aluminium with woven brown fabric upholstery (removable). These chairs are in excellent structural condition however the upholstery and padding is worn and would need to be replaced. An excellent restoration project! These designer dining chairs retail for up to $1,000 each when new. Selling the set of 8 chairs in their current condition for just $75 per chair.

Zanotta - similar to; BB Italia, Poliform, Cassina etc Established in 1954, Zanotta is one of the recognized leaders in Italian industrial design since ever. Guided by the insight and wonderful entrepreneurship abilities of the founder, Aurelio Zanotta, starting from the 1960s it won and has held the international spotlight, thanks to its products: these are emblematic from the viewpoint of formal innovation as well as of the technological research, aiming at a continuous evolution in the materials quality and in the production processes.Internationally famed architects and designers have always been called in to create the products. Some of them are: Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Gae Aulenti, Marco Zanuso, Ettore Sottsass, Joe Colombo, Alessandro Mendini, Andrea Branzi, Carlo Mollino, De Pas-D'Urbino-Lomazzi, Enzo Mari, Bruno Munari, Roberto Barbieri, Ross Lovegrove, Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, Damian Williamson. Many iconic products became established over the years of the Zanotta history, i.e. from design classics have really become long-sellers pieces.

Roberto Barbieri. Born in Milan in 1942, he received his degree in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1969. During the same year he and the architect Marco De Carli began working in the fields of design, architecture and graphic design. In 1970 his architectural and decorative designs were part of the exhibition "Living Space for 1970s Homes," staged by the Lissone Furniture Body and the Faculty of Architecture.In 1975 he participated in the exhibit "Living Space in Public Buildings" organized within the 15th Milan Triennale. From the ‘80s, he designed and been art director for furniture makers. He has been working for Zanotta since 1994. He died in 2012.
