Flexform Scissor Chairs, pair
A rare and iconic pair of Scissor Chairs designed by Paul Tuttle & Antonio Citterio for Flexform, Italy, circa 1980s. These sculptural lounge chairs exemplify the refined minimalism and precision engineering that define Italian design of the late 20th century. Each features the distinctive X-shaped folding frame characteristic of the model, crafted in brushed steel and paired with rich brown saddle leather upholstery — a timeless combination of strength and elegance. The seat and backrest exhibit a beautifully developed patina, enhancing the authentic vintage character of the leather. True to Flexform’s design ethos, the craftsmanship balances comfort, ergonomics, and aesthetic restraint — making these pieces as functional as they are collectible.
The leather seat is masterfully created by saddle-makers who collaborated with Flexform, affixed to the frame at six points with chrome cylindrical capsules, each hand-stitched in situ. The saddle-set cowhide is double-layered, top-stitched above and below, reflecting the meticulous workmanship that has made Flexform Italia synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship.

Manufactured in the 1980s, these chairs are in good vintage condition — the chrome is well preserved, the leather retains its deep brown tone and structural integrity. Some visible ageing is present around the lower cylinders with visible scratches, wrinkles, and cracks in the leather.

Delivery Limitations
In order to provide a valid quote, buyers are obliged to inform us if access to deliver an item is restricted by a lift, stairs, narrow access, steep access, parking limitations, distance from truck parking to the door and so forth.
Organising Own Delivery
To keep the process as smooth as possible for our sellers please note the following terms and conditions for buyers making their own arrangements to collect a purchased item:
- larger items must be collected by a two person team
- sellers are not required to assist
- items for collection will not be packed or wrapped
- risk passes to the buyer from the moment of pick-up

Items are categorised as follows:
Excellent condition: New or as new, never used or, hardly used with very minor signs of wear
Very Good condition: used, shows signs of acceptable wear and tear
Moderate condition: used, shows obvious signs of wear and tear, needs some TLC though structurally sound
Poor condition: needs to be repaired to be able to be used
