French olive jars, especially Biot Provence jars, exemplify the rich tradition of southern French pottery. While Biot jars are famous, another notable pottery style from the south of France is the Anduze pot, named after the town of Anduze in the Cévennes region. Anduze pots were originally inspired by Italian Medici vases and became popular in French gardens and estates during the 17th century.
Whilst his pot has been handmade in Anduze it is more typical of the Biot style which typically features a rounded body with a wide mouth and a narrow base.

In order to provide a valid quote, buyers are obliged to inform us if access to deliver an item is restricted by a lift, stairs, narrow access, steep access, parking limitations, distance from truck parking to the door and so forth.
Organising Own Delivery
To keep the process as smooth as possible for our sellers please note the following terms and conditions for buyers making their own arrangements to collect a purchased item:
- larger items must be collected by a two person team
- sellers are not required to assist
- items for collection will not be packed or wrapped
- risk passes to the buyer from the moment of pick-up

How we categorise condition of items
Items are categorised as follows:
Excellent condition: New or as new, never used or, hardly used with very minor signs of wear
Very Good condition: used, shows signs of acceptable wear and tear
Moderate condition: used, shows obvious signs of wear and tear, needs some TLC though structurally sound
Poor condition: needs to be repaired to be able to be used
