The Mantis BS1 Tripod Floor Lamp is an iconic piece of mid-century sculptural design. Originally designed by British sculptor and engineer Bernard Schottlander in 1951, the Mantis BS1 floor lamp is a masterclass in balance and fluid movement. Manufactured by premium French lighting studio DCW Éditions, this is the highly sought-after Tripod Base version. Its unique counterweighted design allows the slender metal spine to rotate a full 360 degrees and tilt seamlessly into multiple fixed positions.
The DCW Éditions Mantis BS1 Tripod Floor Lamp features an adjustable height of 1550 mm to 1700 mm and a depth or reach ranging from 690 mm to 1080 mm. The tripod base width measures 740 mm.
Functionality: 100% working order. The clever counter-balance weight system glides smoothly and stays locked exactly where you want it.

- larger items must be collected by a two person team
- sellers are not required to assist
- items for collection will not be packed or wrapped
- risk passes to the buyer from the moment of pick-up

Excellent condition: New or as new, never used or, hardly used with very minor signs of wear
Very Good condition: used, shows signs of acceptable wear and tear
Moderate condition: used, shows obvious signs of wear and tear, needs some TLC though structurally sound
Poor condition: needs to be repaired to be able to be used
