Hans J. Wegner Getama GE236/4 sofa is an iconic mid-century modern four-seater designed in 1955 for the Danish manufacturer Getama. It is highly regarded for its timeless aesthetic and "all-angles" design philosophy, which ensures the sofa looks as beautiful from the back as it does from the front. Solid oak frame upholstered in grey wool. The sofa is overall in moderate condition. The frame is solid with no cracks in any slats or base. The cushions have their original steel frame and springs. The upholstery requires steam cleaning or reupholstering, and both arms have damage to the fabric and require reupholstering. Purchased 2007 in Brisbane from a vintage dealer. The makers mark is on the frame. The current (moderate) condition is reflected in the asking price for this classic and highly desirable Hans Wegner design which can be seen at asking prices up to $11,000..

- larger items must be collected by a two person team
- sellers are not required to assist
- items for collection will not be packed or wrapped
- risk passes to the buyer from the moment of pick-up

Excellent condition: New or as new, never used or, hardly used with very minor signs of wear
Very Good condition: used, shows signs of acceptable wear and tear
Moderate condition: used, shows obvious signs of wear and tear, needs some TLC though structurally sound
Poor condition: needs to be repaired to be able to be used
