Fortuny Lamp with cream shade and grey frame, made in Italy, purchased at Cult Design. Conceived by Mariano Fortuny in 1907, the Fortuny floor lamp continues to be considered a contemporary and timeless icon to this day. Conceived as a revolutionary stage lighting that experimented with indirect lighting. The idea for the base came from the camera’s tripod, with its adjustable leg, while for the lampshade Mariano Fortuny reversed the typical lampshades of the time, making them tiltable and thus creating a light orientation instrument. In the home environment, this indirect lighting is just as important for creating an inviting atmosphere. Bulb not iincluded.

We fully understand you might want to see, touch and assess an item in person before purchasing. Please request an inspection using the “ASK A QUESTION’ button on the listing. All listings show the city and postcode so you can tell if it’s in your area.
We do not release payment to the Seller until you have had a chance to inspect your purchase. You have 24 hours after delivery to notify us of any issues with how we have described your purchase.

Items are categorised as follows:
Excellent condition: New or as new, never used or, hardly used with very minor signs of wear
Very Good condition: used, shows signs of acceptable wear and tear
Moderate condition: used, shows obvious signs of wear and tear, needs some TLC though structurally sound
Poor condition: needs to be repaired to be able to be used
