EJ5 Corona Chair designed by Poul Volther. The chair was originally designed for Erik Jorgensen in 1961. The solid oak frame of the first production was soon replaced by the spring steel version we see today, manufactured by Fredericia. The distinctive spine like construction of the Corona chair has padded concentric shapes that appear to be freely suspended. Original red suede like fabric. Brushed stainless steel base, 2005 manufacture. Recommended retail price around $12,000.
