About Shana Danon
Shana is an artist and surface designer who creates paintings, prints and patterns from her Bondi studio, Emilio Frank Design.
Shana is inspired by her passion for Mid Century modernism. Her artworks are known for their bold emotive colour and vibrant modernist style. Shana’s work celebrates form, function and colour with a touch of whimsy, created with the intention to evoke joyful memory and happy spaces.
Lunar Garden triptych
A previous long term career as one of Sydney’s first professional organisers – decluttering, restyling and educating about mindful purchasing – led Shana to further study in colour and design, visual arts and surface design.
She Will Have Her Way – giclee prints
Shana brings a strong sense of community and inclusion to her work. From her studio in Bondi, she creates vibrant works that celebrate life.
It Takes a Village
Growing up in a family of artists nurtured her to become a maker and work with colour across a variety of media. Lunar themes, tree-scapes, circles and arches feature throughout her work, referencing the past with a contemporary twist.
Sweet Tooth (Ocean)
Emilio Frank Design is named in honour of her grandfathers, Emil + Frank with family folklore of Schnitzel the dachshund inspiring a collectible range of home-wares + stationery.
Shana’s work has been featured in local and international exhibitions, with recent collections licensed for wallpaper, fashion, textiles, beauty and public art.
